Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of 2YU Docs. By using the service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Service Overview
2YU Docs provides a rich-text editor and workflow to publish documents permanently to the Arweave blockchain. The network is decentralized and immutable; once content is stored, it cannot be removed or altered by us.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide accurate information when interacting with the service.
- Maintain the confidentiality of any credentials or passwords you use.
- Only upload content you have the right to publish and store permanently.
- Comply with applicable laws and avoid harmful, illegal, or infringing content.
- Ensure backups and retention of any transaction IDs needed to retrieve your content.
Payments & Fees
Permanent storage uses one-time payments (typically less than $0.01 per document) processed via Arweave/Irys. You are responsible for any network or gateway fees. All payments are final once a transaction is submitted to Arweave.
Content Ownership & License
You retain ownership of your content. By uploading, you grant 2YU Docs a limited license to process and transmit the content as needed to operate the service and write it to Arweave. You acknowledge that Arweave storage is public and permanent.
Prohibited Use
- Illegal, harmful, or infringing content.
- Malware, exploits, or attempts to disrupt or overload the service.
- Unauthorized access to other users' data or systems.
- Misrepresentation of affiliation or impersonation.
Service Changes & Availability
We may modify or discontinue features at any time. The decentralized nature of Arweave means published documents remain accessible through gateways even if the app changes or stops running.
Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant uninterrupted availability, absence of errors, or preservation of your access to transaction IDs. You are responsible for safeguarding passwords and any keys tied to encrypted documents.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, 2YU Docs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the service.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or if necessary to protect the service or other users. Termination does not affect the permanence of content already stored on Arweave.
