Our Mission

2YU Docs is a permanent note-taking application that stores your documents on the Arweave blockchain. We believe in true data ownership - your notes are stored permanently, decentralized, and censorship-resistant. Unlike traditional cloud storage, your documents remain accessible forever, even if our service shuts down.

  • •Decentralized & Censorship-Resistant: Your documents are distributed across thousands of nodes worldwide, ensuring they can never be deleted or censored.
  • •True Data Ownership: Your notes belong to you. Access them anytime using your transaction ID through any Arweave gateway, independent of our service.

How It Works

2YU Docs uses Arweave, a decentralized storage network powered by blockchain technology. When you save a document:

  1. The app automatically generates an Arweave wallet for you (or uses your existing one)
  2. Your document is uploaded to Arweave via Irys, which handles the transaction
  3. You pay a one-time fee in AR (Arweave cryptocurrency) - typically less than $0.01 per document
  4. Your document is stored permanently across thousands of nodes worldwide
  5. You receive a transaction ID that you can use to access your document forever

Get Started

Getting started is simple! Just start writing in the editor. When you're ready to save permanently, click the save button. The app will automatically generate an Arweave wallet for you (or use your existing one), and guide you through funding it if needed. Once funded, your document will be uploaded to Arweave and you'll receive a transaction ID that you can use to access it forever. You can also password-protect your documents for added security.
